Priya is a 28 year old Indian-Scottish self shooting director, from London. She studied Documentary filmmaking at OTOXO Productions’ Into Industry Programme in Barcelona.

At OTOXO, she co-directed 'Starting Line' (acquired by Betevé and Movistar+), a film that follows people suffering from various addictions, using sport as a means of rehabilitation.

Connecting with these participants inspired her to keep working with similar themes, this time looking inward.

‘Still, life’, the 7 minute short she made for her final project, an interview with her dad, amongst other international awards and festival selections, won best short at DocsBarcelona 2024.

‘Still, life’ is now in development as a feature having won the 2025 Edinburgh Pitch. The film is backed by Random Access Pictures, produced by John English, co-produced by Nadja Lapcevic (Varda Pictures) and will be distributed by MetFilms.

She founded Take2, an all female-identifying collective of creatives and volunteers as the UK Ambassador for the non profit, Share Doc.
